GDS concrete casting reel helps to prepare for Karlatornet

Preparing for project Karlatornet in Gothenburg, NPB, Nordisk Pål & Borrteknik, is currently at the request of Veidekke, casting deep drilled steel pipes with concrete using GDS self-developed casting reel. The steel piles reaches below ground water level, which demanded urgent casting of the concrete to prevent water leakage. In the project, a total of 323 poles with a length from 42 to 65 meters have been used. During the weeks around Christmas and New Year, NPB cast a total of 192 m3 concrete in the piles.

Thanks to NPB’s good work effort and the casting reel’s unique features the water leakage could be stopped and the work went very well!
