SOLO 400 EF to Austria

GDS has recently delivered SOLO 400 EF, a high-pressure water pump for water powered drilling with electric drive. The pump will go to a project in Austria and is convoyed through our sister company TDS Tunnel Drilling Solutions. The pump will be used by the German mining and special ground engineering company Thyssen Schachtbau in the Semmering Base Tunnel project, which takes place near Vienna and is currently one of the biggest tunneling projects in Austria.

SOLO 400 EF, GDS electric driven high-pressure water pump, has a capacity of 400 liters per minute and 200 bars. The pump is suitable for water powered drilling up to 5” hammers. Thyssen Schachtbau is using this pump for WAI hammer drilling; WAI50, 40 and 35. It has a power of 140 kW and is frequency converter driven which makes it adjustable within a large work area and very energy efficient.
