Besab re-inforces the Liljevalchs art gallery in Stockholm with the unique Twin pump and water-propelled technology from GDS

In 2015 Besab started the sensitive ground reinforcement project of the Liljevalchs art gallery building. The work includes drilling casing advancing, RD Ø115 and RD Ø140 drilled steel casing piles for ~400 holes and is planned to end in 2017. The reason for using the water-propelled drilling technology was due to the requirements on work environment, minimization of risk of settlements as well as Besab’s experience of the technology being more cost-efficient.

For this project, the unique 720 Twin diesel pump, giving 720 lit/min @ 190 bar, from GDS was used – a pump uniquely serving two rigs in parallel, resulting in major cost savings.
