The very first WAI hammer project ! – GDS supplies water-propelled hammers, pumps, drilling equipment and technical support to Implenia for the large Stockholm City Line project

For the construction of the Stockholm City Line’s Connection South Station, pre-drilling for grouting, drilling for underpinning for ground reinforcement as well as drilling for sheet pile walls needed to be realized. For this, GDS supplied water-propelled hammers, threaded casings and pumps as well as casing advancing systems, together with its partners DrillKing, Colcrete Eurodrill and GeoRocFor. Aditionally, GDS supported with service and scheduled maintenance.

The demands on low-noise-level as well as the surrounding infrastructure consisting of sensible buildings, made the water-propelled method superior as alternative. Also, the water-propelled technology was prescribed by designing engineer Ramböll in the request for tender.

Due to the hectic schedule, the fast deliveries and technical support from GDS made
the project possible to realize within given time frames…
